Back in January this year, The Sound Collective played our very first gig at the Portarlington Mussel Festival — and what a stage to start on!
We’d like to thank the festival committee for giving us the opportunity to share our music with such a vibrant crowd. It was an incredible day and we truly hope to be back on that stage in 2026.
For those who don’t know, the Portarlington Mussel Festival began in 2007 as a small street celebration to showcase the local mussel industry. Since then, it has grown into one of Victoria’s most popular community festivals — drawing over 30,000 visitors each year, serving up live music all day long, hundreds of market stalls, and of course, a whole lotta delicious mussels.
The festival is run entirely by an amazing team of volunteers, whose dedication has helped redirect over $230,000 back into community projects. We’re proud to have been part of such a fantastic local tradition.
Here’s to more music, more mussels, and more great memories! 🎵🦪💛
